How a Snapchat Story is actually put together
A Story is not one long file. It is a queue of separate snaps, each a few seconds long, some video and some still images, each expiring on its own clock. That is why saving one means picking snaps rather than pressing a single button, and why this page shows a grid instead of one link.
Profile links versus Highlight links
A profile link such as snapchat.com/@username returns everything public on that account, each shelf labelled so you can filter. A Highlight link like snapchat.com/@username/highlight/… is deliberately narrower and returns just that reel — usually what you want when an account has hundreds of posts.
Download an entire Snapchat Story, snap by snap
There is no single-file version of a Story, because Snapchat never stores it that way. What this page gives you instead is the full list: every reachable snap, with a thumbnail, so you can work through them in order or grab the two or three that matter. Busy accounts load in pages, so your browser is never asked to render hundreds of tiles at once.
Why some snaps are missing
Story snaps expire, normally within about 24 hours, and once Snapchat drops one from its public page there is nothing left for us to read. If a link worked yesterday and returns nothing today, the snap has almost certainly aged out rather than the tool having broken.
Using it as a Snapchat Highlight downloader
Highlights are the reels a creator chose to keep, so unlike the rolling Story they stay available for months — which makes them the more reliable thing to keep. Paste the reel's own link to download Snapchat Highlights on their own, with none of the rest of the account mixed in. As a Story saver that is the shortcut worth knowing.

Everything reachable here is already public, but public is not the same as unrestricted. Keep saved snaps for personal viewing unless you have asked first, and do not repost someone's work as your own. Snapchat's Terms of Service still apply, and so do the creator's rights.

Can I download an entire Snapchat Story at once?
You save it snap by snap. Paste the profile link and every public snap appears as a card, then keep the ones you want. There is no single-file version because Snapchat never stores a Story as one video.
What is the difference between a Story and a Highlight?
A Story is the rolling feed of recent snaps and expires after roughly a day. A Highlight is a reel the creator chose to keep permanently. Paste a Highlight link for just that reel, or a profile link for everything public.
Why does a link say the snap is no longer available?
Because it expired. Story snaps disappear from Snapchat's public page after about 24 hours, and once gone there is nothing left to fetch. Highlights stay reachable far longer.
Can I save Snapchat photos too?
Yes. Image snaps appear in the grid beside the videos, marked as photos, and save as standard JPG files at the size Snapchat serves them.
Can I save private or Friend Stories?
No, and that is deliberate. Private Stories, Friend Stories and My Eyes Only all require a Snapchat login. We never ask for credentials, so anything gated stays out of reach.
Do I need an app to save Snapchat stories?
No. This is an ordinary web page, so it works in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android with nothing installed, and identically on Windows or Mac.
