These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and StorySnapViewer ("we", "us") covering the website at storysnapviewer.app and the tools on it (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

What the Service is

The Service is a free browser utility that reads pages Snapchat already publishes on the open web and shows you the public media those pages contain, so you can view it or keep a copy. It is provided for personal, lawful use.

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for that purpose. We do not grant you any rights in the content you access through it — those belong to the people who created it.

Eligibility

You must be old enough to use Snapchat in your country to use this Service, and at least 13 years old in any case. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Acceptable use

Only open content that you own, that is genuinely public, or that you have explicit permission to use. You are solely responsible for what you do with anything you access. You agree not to use the Service to:

infringe copyright, trademark or any other intellectual-property right;
access private, protected, age-restricted or login-gated content;
violate anyone's privacy, or gather material to harass, stalk, dox or intimidate a person;
republish or monetise someone else's work as if it were your own;
breach Snapchat's own Terms of Service or any applicable law;
scrape at scale, run automated bulk requests, or otherwise overload, disrupt or attempt to circumvent limits on the Service;
probe, reverse-engineer or interfere with the security of the Service or the systems it depends on.

We may refuse service, apply rate limits or block access if we believe the Service is being used in any of these ways.

What the Service cannot reach

The Service only sees what Snapchat publishes without a login. It cannot open private Stories, Friend Stories, group Stories, direct snaps, chats or My Eyes Only, and it makes no attempt to bypass authentication, encryption or any other platform restriction. We never ask for your Snapchat credentials and you should never give them to any tool that does.

Creator rights

Content accessed through the Service belongs to its creators. Obtaining a clean file does not transfer any rights to you and is not a licence to redistribute, edit, monetise or claim it. Credit creators, and ask permission before resharing. If you are unsure whether a use is fair, assume it is not.

Copyright complaints and takedowns

We respect intellectual-property rights and will act on valid reports. Note that we do not host, store or index any Snapchat media — files stream directly from Snap Inc.'s servers — so the fastest route for most complaints is to report the content to Snapchat, who can remove it at source.

Where the complaint concerns this site, send a notice to hello@storysnapviewer.app including:

your name, address and contact details;
identification of the work you say has been infringed;
the specific URL or material on this site that the complaint concerns;
a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent or the law;
a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf;
your physical or electronic signature.

We review complete notices promptly and will remove or disable access to material on this site where a report is valid. Repeat infringement will result in access being blocked. Deliberately false notices waste everyone's time and may carry legal consequences for the sender.

Availability and changes to the Service

The Service depends entirely on Snapchat's public pages, which change without notice. Features may break, links may stop resolving, and we may add, alter or withdraw functionality at any time. We do not promise uptime and we do not guarantee that any particular link can be processed.

StorySnapViewer is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Snap Inc. "Snapchat", "Snap", "Spotlight" and related marks are trademarks of Snap Inc., used here only descriptively to explain what this tool does.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content obtained through it is accurate, complete or lawful for your intended use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, revenue, profit or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any content accessed through it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your responsibility

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, losses and costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or withdraw access without notice where these Terms are breached or where use threatens the stability or security of the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place where the operator of the Service is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
