Why some clips arrive as two files
Snapchat sometimes packages a post's picture and its sound separately, which is why a rival tool can hand you a silent clip. What resolution should you expect?
We list what the post actually contains rather than promising a number. Snapchat is a vertical-video platform, so 540×960 is the common case and many posts offer nothing larger. Where a higher rendition does exist it appears at the top of the list, tagged HD. Anyone advertising 4K here is guessing.
How to download Snapchat videos on iPhone and Android
On iOS, tapping save hands the MP4 to Safari's download manager; from there use the share sheet to push it into Photos or Files. On Android, Chrome drops it into your Downloads folder and it appears in the gallery shortly after. Desktop browsers behave exactly as they always do.
A note on other people's clips
A post being reachable is not the same as it being yours to reuse. Save clips for personal viewing, or ask the creator first before reposting. Snapchat's Terms of Service and the creator's rights both still apply once the file is on your device.

Does the download keep the original quality?
Yes. You get the same file Snapchat's CDN serves, so there is no second round of compression. A clip uploaded at 540×960 saves at 540×960.
Why is my saved Snapchat video silent?
Because that post stores its audio separately. Look for the Merge & download button on the result panel — it combines the video and audio into one MP4 in your browser. The separate tracks stay listed underneath if you would rather handle them yourself.
Is there a limit on how many clips I can save?
No daily cap and no account to hit a quota on. The only ceiling is Snapchat's own rate limiting, which occasionally asks us to pause a moment before fetching another link.
How do I save a Snapchat clip on my phone?

Do you need my Snapchat login?
